~ Gothic Inspired ~ This tutorial is for those who have working knowledge with Paint Shop Pro & Jasc Animation Shop. This tutorial used Jill’s PTU scrap kit: Gothic Inspirations You can purchase Jill’s Gothic Inspirations scrap by visiting her blog: HERE. or purchase directly from Just 4 Taggers . *Template: Yvette_EOC_Template4 Please leave some love for her hard work. You can find this here: . (They are about half way down the page on the right, snag 1-14 in one bunch) *Font: Monika (was used for the name) and can be found HERE. *Effects: Eye Candy 4000: Gradient Glow *Supplies: Word Art & Real Life Tube . Let’s get started Please Save Often! Open up your Yvette_EOC_Template4 in Paint Shop and hide your top layer. Resize all by 120%. Click on the rectangles layer of the template to make active. Now add a new raster layer, click on it to make it active. Open a paper of choice from the kit, I used: GI_paper08_cbj and flood fill with this paper. *Learning Tip: To choose your paper for flood fill, go to the top right color palettes-click on the foreground box (top one)-click on the pattern (at the top far right, 3rd option), and use your drop down box on the current pattern (to the right, a tiny arrow)-find the pattern (paper) you have open-hit ok. Click on your rectangles layer to make active again. Now go to your top tool bar, Selections-Select All, Selections-Float, Selections-Defloat, Selection-Invert. Click on the paper layer to make active and hit delete on your keyboard. Now deslect. *Learning Tip, to deselect go to your top toolbar, Selections-Select None. You should now have the papers inside of the rectangles as your pattern. Now click on the Large Photo layer of the template to make active, and do the same thing. Create a new raster layer, and floodfill. I used the curtain that is in the elements called: GI_beadedcurtain_cbj Click on your Large Photo layer to make active Go to your Top Tool Bar- Selections-Select All Selections-Float Selections-Defloat Selections-Invert. Click on the raster layer you just filled with your paper to make active. Click Delete on your Keyboard. Now deselect. Do the same process with any layers of the template you would like to do. I flood filled Small Photo, with the same beaded curtain. Follow the same steps as above, with the Selections process. Now open elements of choice from the kit. I used… GI_bloodandblade_cbj-Copy and Paste as a new layer. Move this layer to the bottom of your layers but above your main white layer. Position to the top left corner of the main Large Photo layer . Don’t worry about resizing as we will crop the tag later. See mine to reference. GI_glitter_cbj - Copy and Paste as a new layer. This is my favorite element out of this entire kit…and you can see why. It’s fabulous!! Move this element to the bottom of your Large and Small Photo’s. Top Tool Bar-Adjust-Sharpen. Now copy and paste a tube of your choice as a new layer. I used a real life tube. Tube Artist is unknown. Copy and Paste as a new layer, Position above your glitter. Now duplicate and drag one beneath your glitter so it looks like she is laying on top. Copy and paste the word art provided in the supplies: WordArtByJW's-GI_GothicInspired Drag this layer just below your tube layer and position at the bottom. Add a drop shadow. Now add your name to the tag. I used font Monika, Size 36, Stroke Width 1, Foreground Null and Background Gray. Convert to a raster, and add a drop shadow. Position in the middle of your word art. I added a gradient glow. Using Eye Candy 4000.Basic settings, leave at default except change the Glow Width, change this to 21.83, Color White, Difuse as the setting. Now add your copyrights and watermark. Save as a JPG or PNG. Thank you for trying my tutorial! I would love to see your results and are displaying them on my tutorial page.
