Open up a new 850x850 raster layer. Don't worry about the size, you can crop and resize later. Flood Fill white. Label it your background layer. Copy and paste the mask layer provided in the supplies. *mask was created using: HPD_Independant Woman_Paper 14 paper from Bev's kit. Now open up Bev's FTU Independent Woman Kit Now choose your elements of choice from the kit, I used: the HPD_IndependantWoman_30 frame element, copy and paste as a new layer. Now copy and paste the frame background papers included in my supplies: IndependentWoman-GI_PUFrameBackgrounds Drag this layer under your frame layer. *You can create your own, if you prefer not to use mine* Open up the HPD_IndependantWoman_20 (red flower) element from the kit. Copy and paste as a new layer. Duplicate Once. Flip. Merge these two together. Make sure this below your backgrounds. Open up the HPD_IndependantWoman_33 (Tan Round Frame) element from the kit. Copy and paste as a new layer. Make sure this is above your flower layer. Add a Gradient Glow, using Eye Candy 4000. I changed BASIC glow with to 3. Leaving the rest as default. And the color to these settings:
Open up the HPD_IndependantWoman_38 (Silver Star) from the kit. Copy and paste as a new layer. Resize By 40%. Use your pick tool and position under your black square frames, at the top left. Duplicate and move this one down to the right bottom. Sharpen both twice. Open up the HPD_IndependantWoman_39 (Star Curtain Bling) from the kit. Copy and paste as a new layer. Make sure is layer is above your round frame. Now click on your round frame to make active, click on the outside of this frame, top tool bar, Selections, Modify, Expand 4. Now click on the Curtain Bling to make active and hit delete on your keyboard. Now deselect. *To Deselect, Top Tool Bar, Selections, Select None. Open up the word art IndependentWoman-GI_PUWordArt provided in the supplies or create your own. Copy and paste as a new layer. Use your pick tool to place it on your tag. Make sure this above all your layers. See mine to reference. Now Copy and paste a tube of your choice. I used a beautiful tube called Dancer by Keith Garvey. This comes in several fabulous layers. First I used raster 1(Main full body tube layer). Copy and paste as new layer. Make sure it centered on your tag. And above all of your layers. See mine to reference placement. Then I used Layer2 (Where it showing 3/4 of her body). Copy and paste as new layer. Drag this layer under your square top left frames layer, but above your frame background layers. Position so it just shows her middle of her body. Don't worry about the extra sticking out for now. Then I used Layer1 (Close up of her upper body and face) Use your pick tool and position below the bottom right rectangle frame. Now merge Layer 2 and Layer 1 together. Click on your rectangle frame to make active. Use your magic wand and click on the outside of the frames. Follow the same steps used with the round frame. Top Tool Bar, Selections, Modify, Expand by 4. Click on the merged tube layers. Hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect. Now apply Xero: Fritillary with these settings:
Now change Opacity (Transparency) to 40%. Now add your name to the tag, I used font Pea Jenny Script. Font size 12, Stroke Width 0, Kerning default (30). Foreground: Null. Background: Gradient provided in the supplies. Add Eye Candy Gradient Glow, using the same settings as above on the frame, except change to FAT instead of Medium. Color will change by default to white. Add any drop shadows you prefer to the elements, name, etc. Now add your copyrights and watermark. Crop your tag to get rid of any access space and extras. Then resize to your preference. I usually resize to 80%. Save as a JPG with the white background or hide the main white background layer and save as a PNG (for transparent background) You are now done! Thank you for trying my tutorial! I would love to see your results and are displaying them on my tutorial page. If you would like to share your creation from this tutorial, You can email them here: jessicawoods1@yahoo.com
