Please SAVE often!!
Let’s get started
Save your fonts into your windows/fonts folder, and
your mask into your mask folder under Corel. Usually this is located under C
drive/Program Files/Corel/PSP/Masks.
Now open up your Corel Paint Shop.
Open a 850x850 transparent canvas in Corel. Flood
fill white.
Open up a paper of choice from the kit:
gzvalverde_rosefall_bg19, resize by 25%.
Create a new raster layer, flood fill with this
pattern. Leave this paper open for later.
*Tip: To flood fill with a
paper, you will see your color palettes up the right of PSPX. Click on the
Foreground (top color), you should see material properties box, on the top of
this box just above the color, you will see Color/Gradient/Pattern. Click on
Pattern. You will see a little arrow to the right of the current pattern, click
on this to see more options, now find your paper you opened. Hit Ok. Now you can
flood fill the new black raster with this pattern.
Now load your mask:
Candy’sTreatsMask4B
with these settings.
Right click and merge
group.
Now open up
gzvalverde_rosefall_journalmat4, resize by 50%. Copy and paste as a new layer.
Free rotate by 15 degrees, and use your pick tool to rotate and position more.
See mine to reference.
Open up a frame of choice
from the kit. I used: gzvalverde_rosefall_frame3. Resize by 25%. Copy and paste
as a new layer.
Copy and paste
gzvalverde_rosefall_tape3 as a new layer. Resize by 50%. Use your pick tool to
rotate and position to the top left of your frame layer.
Open up a staple of choice
from the kit, I used: gzvalverde_rosefall_staple2
Copy and paste as a new
layer, resizing this by 50%. Duplicate this once. And using your pick tool drag
this beneath your other staple. Merge the two staples together, and Duplicate
again. Position both on two ends of the frame, see mine to reference.
Open up your tubes of
choice. I used Joseph Corsentino for both tubes. I used:
psp9511-SCCorsentino-DanceAtTwilight, resized by 85%. Copy and Paste as a new
layer. I moved this to the right of the frame in the empty spot, see mine to
reference.
And I also used:
psp9520-SCCorsentino-AWish. Copy and paste as a new a layer. Move this layer
under your frame layer and position to your liking.
*Tip try not to use two
different artists as this is usually against there T.O.U.’s and it’s a conflict
of interest.
Create a new raster layer.
Drag this layer beneath your tube layer.
Flood fill with the same
paper as before.
Click on your frame layer
to make active.
Now use your magic wand
tool and click inside of your frame layer. Top tool bar,
Selections-Modify-Expand by 10-Ok. Top tool bar-Selections-Invert.
Now click on your paper
layer you just created. Hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect.
*Tip: To deselect click on
top tool bar, Selections-Select none.
Add any additional elements
you might want to use. I used:
Gvalverde_rosefall_bow3,
resized by 25%. Use your pick tool to rotate and position to the top left of the
frame layer.
Gzvalverde_rosefall_glitter
dots, resized by 10%. Duplicate 3 times, to total 4 glitter layers. Position
around the journal matt, see mine to reference.
Copy and paste the word art
supplied or create your own. Position to the bottom of your frame layer to the
left of your heart.
Add your name to the tag. I used font
LavishlyYoursROB, size 28, stroke width 1, with settings foreground color code:
#cb2c13 and background color the same.
Add any drop shadows you might like to your
elements. Resize to your preference.
Now add your copyright and watermark.
Save as a JPG or PNG (Hide your main white layer
for PNG) or move to the next step for animation.
~ANIMATION~
Unhide your bottom white layer,
Right Click, Copy Merged. Paste into Jasc Animation
Shop.
Duplicate this layer for a total of 7 (seven)
layers. Go to your top tool bar, select all.
Leave selected. Top tool bar, Animation, Resize
Animation, 550x550.
Make sure the little slider at the bottom is
dragged all the way to the left.
Open up the stars in my supplies in Jasc, this will
also be 7 layers. Select all. Now drag the stars on your tag. I just used it
once. If you would like more…
Go to your stars again, find the little back arrow
at the top tool bar and hit to undo, so it goes back to normal, and drag again.
Do this several times until you get the look you would like. You can check along
the way, by going to the top tool bar, animation, view animation.
If you do not like it, hit undo on your tag to undo
the last action you just did. Resize to your preference.
I resize 430x430 in Jasc, as it works well with my
blog.
